Nanjing Jinling Shipyard started construction of the ninth 7800 lane m roll-on/roll-off vessel for Grimaldi
The ship is the last ship in the 7,800-lane meter ro-RO series built by the company for Grimaldi, and is currently the largest cargo ro-RO ship built by a domestic shipyard. She is 238 m in length, 34 m in breadth and 20.8 knots. She is built to classification standards of Italian Classification Society RINA and meets the requirements of Green Plus. As used for the first time a hybrid of a new generation of environmentally friendly roro ship, the ship adopts double low speed machine, double CPP propeller, and two streamlined semi-balance flap rudder (rudder propeller matching), bubble drag reduction system, battery energy storage system, silicone elastic paint, desulfurization tower, ballast water treatment and other various energy conservation and environmental protection measures, can effectively reduce the hull resistance when sailing, Zero emissions when berthing, meeting the LATEST EEDI requirements of IMO, energy saving, environmental protection, flexible and efficient cargo handling, etc. |
