On July 6, CSSC Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of CSSC, signed a contract with Taiwan Dexiang Shipping to build four 7,000TEU container ships. Earlier, CSCO Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and Singapore's SEA CONSORTIUM signed an order for eight 7,000TEU container ships. Designed by Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute, the 7000TEU container ship is a green, energy-saving and environment-friendly container ship with a length of 272 meters, a width of 42.8 meters, a depth of 24.6 meters, a full load draft of 15 meters, and a total of nearly 7,000 20-foot standard containers. There are 800 reefer container sockets on the ship. Nox emissions met IMO Tier ⅲ, a reduction of about 76% compared to Tier ⅱ, and SULFUR emissions met IMO 0.5%. With a USCG approved ballast water treatment system, EEDI met phase III requirements, with a reduction of nearly 50% compared to baseline. At the same time, it takes into account the speed, fuel consumption and loading flexibility. It is a new generation of efficient, economic, green and environment-friendly medium-sized container ship. In Addition, in April this year, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding co., LTD., a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Corporation (CSCO), signed a contract with Enesel of Greece for the construction of 2+1 114,000-ton Avra oil product vessels. The 114,000 ton Avra product vessel is independently developed and designed by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding. With a total length of 249.95 meters, a width of 44 meters and a structural draft of 15 meters, it meets the IMO Tier ⅲ emission requirements and EEDI requirements for Ships in Phase ⅲ. |
